Ed and Christine,You are both lucky to have your Diane and Bruce. Those two are saints to put up with you two. Yes they have earned their stars in heaven for all they do for you.
Now my Carol is just a lucky girl to have me, myositis or not. I tell her how lucky she is and she just rolls her eyes and avoids comment. She has been lucky for over 40 years now. 
Seriously though, we take turns being the caregiver. She has rheumatoid arthritis and has had broken legs (twice), carpel tunnel surgery, rotator cuff surgery, and a continued cracked heel problem that needs attention. I have had bowel obstruction, gall bladder surgery, shoulder surgery, heart surgery, brain surgery and now myositis. Like someone told me, "If you were a horse, I'd have to shoot you." I think that comment could be used on many of us. So I really have a saint Carol. She definitely does NOT call me a saint. LOL
