Ok...so I was on prednisone about 4 years ago and while on it I, of course, gained a lot of weight and retained lots of water. I developed stretch marks on the sides of my tummy (like where my love handles are and a little further on my back). After going off prednisone I lost a lot of weight and a lot of the "puffy" feeling. Now I'm on methotrexate and have been since going off the prednisone. I've had relatively few problems on it. However, recently I've been feeling "puffy" again. My mom noticed that my face looked a little puffy. I've also noticed my love handle area feeling sort of like it did when I was on the prednisone. I feel like I"m retaining water again but I don't understand why. I haven't been eating differently or anything. I also sometimes have pain in my lower back right under my ribs, right where I feel like I"m retaining water again. I'm scarred that it might be my kidneys. Has anyone had problems like these on methotrexate or problems like this in general? Please help!
