Everyone who gets it at my infusion clinic gets theirs by how much they weigh and if they lose weight they get less.I get 40 mgs of Gamma Guard every 3 weeks and it takes about 3 hours.Since I don't know your weight or how your doctor orders I guess you need to check with your doctor.But one thing I would never let a nurse who doesn't have experience give me my IVIG.I thought that nurses had to be certified to give it in our state but I could be wrong and maybe that is just for chemo.Good luck and let us know what you find out.
