Hello Everyone!

Our first WONDERFUL news is that he has FINALLY been approved for social security disability. This comes at a very good time because he only has two months of COBRA coverage left!

Second bit of good news is that his DM is getting so much better right now. He still goes through solu-medrol every four weeks but he is down to 10mgs of prednisone (from 80mgs) Still on 3000mg of Cellcept and other blood pressure and calcium meds but we have been able to taper him off of five medications since January!!!!

On his last trip up to the UW the rehum said he has gone from a very severe case of DM to a mild one. They have taken tissue and blood samples and are doing a study on him now.

And I have gone back to a normal full time job now that is wonderful. I am working for a program that focuses on Salmon recovery efforts for the 20 Treaty Indian Tribes of Western Washington, its been very interesting and I love the people I am working with.

And our little Corbin is potty trained and doing very well in pre-school part time and hanging out at home with his Dad.

We are feeling really blessed right now and have bright hopes for our future. This time last year the doc's didn't think Mike was going to make it and now they think that he will be able to go back to work in a year or so!
