I hear your pain, the old "hurry up and wait...". The rheumatologist won't prescribe skin creams therefor appt. with dermo. who prescribes plaquenil which leads to appt. with opthamologist etc., etc. Nursing school was so tough, I can't imagine dealing with DM and clincals at the same time. The fact that you have been able to cope this far is a huge deal. I have never taken methotrexate or IVIg, just prednisone, imuran, and now plaquenil. I hope you feel better - are you due for time off from school this summer or due you go straight through?
