Hello to the family and welcome to the new members. Like everyone else here I am grateful for the site and all the work Jim and Kelly have done. I enjoy and learn from the posts but I am looking forward to chatting with you back and forth from time to time rather than waiting for the next post. Don't think I'm trying to rush you Kelly or Jim, I'm patient. I just can't wait. Franklin

I personally would love to have a chat room. I think that it would be an asset. Not to all I totally understand that but for the ones that like the chat room idea I think it would be great...as stated before...NO RUSH...you have done a great job so far!!!!

Cheri -

To get a chat room for our size website costs nearly $500. plus instation cost. This website is an independent website, not underwritten by anyone, paid out of my pocket.

The chat room in the former program was used twice in 5 months. ( Only 3 people in the room)

If enough want a chat room, those wanting it will need to pay for it.

I'm sorry I'm not Oprah, Ted Turner, or Bill Gates.

Whew...oh my. I guess I showed that I don't know much about web design. I had no idea that it cost that much. I will be learning more about it in the very near future. My major is e-commerce and I have to take web page design classes. When I learn more I would love to help with anything that you need me to. Please keep me in mind....:-)

Hi Franklin...I'm not one for chat rooms...I have a tendency to try to type faster than I really can. I'm college educated, but with my typos, you'd think I just have a third grade education.

I noticed on your "author profile" that you're from central Kansas. I lived in Fort Leavenworth from '91-'95. I really miss it. We'd hoped to go back there after my hubby retired from the army, but He had other plans for us. I think I need some ruby red slippers and a dog named Toto..."I want to go home...I want to go home"...

I'm still on the Ft. Lvn. Fox Hunt roster, so I get e-mails every week regarding the hunt. Seems like they've had to cancel 80 percent of the hunts this season due to bad weather. You must be having some really nasty weather, because we used to take the horses and hounds out in the cold and snow, but not when it was really bitter and icy.

Tally Ho...Janet

Can anyone give me a good neuro-muscle Dr. near Dallas

Posted by Belinda ® , 2001/03/29, 10:25:28   Archive
Hello all, I have an appt. with arthitis dr. on the 9th of April. I tried calling the doc in Dallas that the neuro office hear gave me to see but the doc has moved to Kansas. Bryan Wilson. So I'm wondering if there is an MDA clinic in Dallas? Or just a good doc. I'm still looking also does anyone know if a neuro muscle doc knows about the back?
The area where I live there is only surgions for the back so I don't know who to see on that. Yep still in a flare but know my back has gotten worse now my whole back seems to be stiff. And I keep doing stretching exercises every morning in hopes of it working. I realized that when I was
a teen ager the school told me they thought I had scolios
my back is not that prevalent on the S shape. But I remembered a doc I seen before when I lived in San Diego I was seeing him about my stomach and and he took X-rays and said that I had a smaller vertabrae in my lower spine than the rest he told me he doesn't know if it means anything he just wanted to bring it to my attention. Well thanks in advance and take care everyone. I'm still looking for the answers and hope to find them soon.

Welcome, Belinda -

Yes, there is a huge MDA operation located in Dallas at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center on Harry Hines Blvd.

You can locate it via the MDA website at www.mdausa.org.

I go there for all my Myositis (IBM) examinations - a wonderful group of people.

We have a Myositis Support Group in the Dallas area - the largest independant group in the nation. Our next meeting will be May 5, 2001. We meet at the Steak & Ale Restaurant, on the North side service road of LBJ between Greenville Ave. and Forest Lane, 11:45. You are invited.

Good luck on finding a doctor. The doctor you mentioned went with Dr. Richard Barohn, when Dr. Barohn, my doctor, accepted the Chairman and Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Kansas in KC.
