Martin's post really got to me and this post is my way of dealing with it. I am glad it moved you even though that was not the original intent.....Anyone with a chronic illness is brought to face his mortality very early on. I am some what pissed off that I can not put my coping mechanisms into words.

The Book of Job has been cited in this thread. It is not one of my favorites in that it only tells us that Job had inner peace both with himself and God. It would be better if some time were spent on how to attain inner peace.
