Since I'm a new member I thought I'd give u a little history. I was diagnosed in August 07 with dermatomyositis was on prednione till 1 month ago and have done well. I think I was lucky that I found the right doctors and was treated early.right now I'm on methotrexate,actonel,folic acid vit d protonics and a few other basics. I still am very tired. I went back to work but can't work my 12 hour shifts anymore(by the way I'm a nurse) more like 4 and 8 hours when I can. I guess i wanted to know is this the norm for most of u ,the decrease in energy. Also having problems with nausea no trouble swallowing but not a great desire to eat. I guess I'm lucky I did't gain weight on Prednisone but now all I do is lose. Anyway thats my story if u have any similiar experiences let me know. Hope all are well today! olivia
