Hello Dagmar.......and congratulations on your website. I believe this is a great idea.
I read your story and must commend you on this. All IBM'rs
can relate to it, and others can appreciate all the simple everyday activities of which we are deprived and must learn
to accept.
I am also impressed with the modifcations you have made to
improve your moility possibilities,and this according to
earlier prepared plans.
I am also impressed by your ability to still do so much
after all these years. I was diagnozed in 95 when it was
establishd that I probably had IBM since 1990. I am eighty-
two and worked at my company office until four years ago.
Thn I had a fall at the house creating a double open frature in my right leg. I was in the hospital for five
months with other problems resulting in my inability to
stand or walk. Nevertheless, I remain positive doing
constructive things as you do to keep myself on top of
things. Thelatest is a new laptop with an on-screen keyboard. Now I simply work with the mouse. While I have caregivers come in every day, I am
like you with yourhusband. My wife, an RN is my big
support.
I could possibly be of some assistance to you on some
mobiiy equipment, if you are interested.
