The drama still continues

Thought I'd give you another update on the soap opera that is continuing within my sphere. Some of these things have been expected but I was hoping they would not come to pass.

1. My fiance was informed that he is now layed-off indefinately. If things don't change within the next few weeks he will lose the house.

2. My fiance's ex-wife's husband was in an auto-accident. His wrist and several fingers were broken and he needs surgery. It will likely be several months before he can work again. My fiance's ex has been urging my fiance to move in with them. With the accident the pressure has only increased. My fiance is resistent for many reasons but it is difficult. He was married for several years and his ex knows how to manipulate him.

3. I am being forced out of my Aunt's house. My Aunt's husband has wanted me out for the past 2 months but I was not well enough to go anywhere. While the physical setup was good, emotionally it has been hell. I have been trying to find other houseing arrangements but I have not gotten very far. I'm moving back to my mom's house for now but it's not safe. It is a drug infested neighborhood, the wiring and plumbing are bad, and there are a billion steps in the place. If I have a flare up or if there is a fire I'll be in serious trouble.

4. My aunt is refusing to fill out paperwork for my food stamps or SSI. I have called the Social Security office repeatedly but they are not calling me back.

5. I have just been informed that I am have not had health coverage since November. When asked why my medical and perscription costs were covered before today I was told that they were just being nice. I called up the people that are suppose to handle COBRA for my former employers. They said they would look into it and get back to me.

6. I have only had 2 hours of work this month. I'm not going to be able to make any of my bills next month. Since it's unlikely I'll get SSI now I'll have to borrow money from family. I dread it. Asking them for help has always been an invitation to heartache.
