Now I'm really confused. I really do not suffer from much pain at all, only when my cpk is elevated. As soon as my cpk is brought down I feel very little pain but suffer mostly weakness. I was told by a therapist that she thinks my problem is metabolic in nature since my muscle biopsy showed very little inflammation. She may be right because the breakdown of the enzyme may be occurring somewhere in my immune system and getting into my blood stream and eventually affecting my muscles. I don't know I'm baffled. As soon as I increased my prednisone I felt much better and stronger. Don't know? I wondered if I may have idiopathic hyperCKemia but my EMG was not normal which rules it out...I think...anyway back to the research. Take care Bill
