Shop Macy's for TMA

On October 16, 2010 all Macy’s
department stores will sponsor Shop for a Cause, an event that benefits
nonprofit organizations, like TMA. How it works is the customer purchases
a 20% off coupon for $5 from a participating organization (TMA). On
October 16th, that customer uses their coupon to receive 20% off their
total purchases at any Macy’s store, and the store will also give them a
25% off coupon good for one item purchased that day. The 25% off coupon
can only be used once for one item, but the 20% off coupon is good all day
for all purchases at Macy’s! For every discount coupon sold, TMA receives
$5. So if you sell 10 coupons, that’s $50 for TMA. If just 50 TMA KIT
members nationwide sell 10 coupons each —that’s $2500 for TMA!

There
can’t be an easier or quicker way to raise money. We are asking that KIT
members support this event by trying to sell at least 10 coupons between
now and October 16th. People can sell the coupons at work, parties,
family get-togethers, book clubs, the gym or church. Selling 10 coupons
at $5 apiece to friends who like to shop at Macy’s should just take a
matter of minutes, and it helps TMA raise funds for research and all the
other information and services TMA provides to those with myositis.
