In a column appearing daily in the Tulsa World and written
by a pharmacist, she lists the following tips: With capsules put your head down toward your chest. With tablets tip your head back to get the pills as far back in your throat as possible. Drink water or juice BEFORE you try to swallow the pills to wet your throat and mouth so the pills don't stick. Eating is a good primer because food is huge compared to pills. **Spray and Swallow** is a product that contains natural oils and flavors that coat the pills and help them slide down easily. Mix crushed pills with pudding, yogurt or applesauce. Ask your pharmacist about substitutions of a liquid form of your medication. **A secret from behind the counter: virtually any madicine can be made into a flavored liquid, cream or patch by a COMPOUNDING pharmacist. Ask your doctor to phone the compounding pharmacist and they will design your perfect formula.*LOVE! Suzy/IBM |
