Swallowing is also a problem for me. I, too, have frequent tickles in my throat which I think may be caused by small crumbs or even salt crystals. Once the coughing starts then comes the onslaught of mucus. Unfortunately, there are no ENT specialists in my Albany, NY area familiar with any operation that will reduce this swallowing difficulty. I'm going to call Leahy Clinic in Boston to see if any of their ENT specialists have had any positive results with throat muscle operations that make swallowing easier and hopefully, lasting. IBM/AL
