Hi DollyNice to hear from you again. I am in Canada. I am one year older and was diagnosed one year after you, so we are
possibly in similar situations. However, following a fall
four years ago which caused a double open fracture in my
right leg, I spent five months in the hospital, bedriden
and no longer able to stand or walk. Fortunately, my health
is very good and I equipped myself with all necessary equip
ment ro cope with my handicap including a hospital bed
with an air mattress, complete with a ceiling lift, great commode to roll me into a specialy built roll-in shower.
To allow me to travel. I had a Bruno TAS Turn Around Seat
installed in my van, I bought a portable Rollaway ramp to allow me to enter any house, a portable ceiling track to
set up on any solid ceiling. This, however necessitates
the serices of other people as I am unable to do anything.
I can't even lift my hands to my face.
Nevertheless,I am in very good spirits, doing what I enjoy,
that of working on my laptop from 7 AM to 5 PM, managing
invstment portfolios of my own, my wife, my daughter, my
brother and his wife and my grandson.
The unfortunate passing away of Jim is a great loss to all
of us. He devoted so much of his time, his energy and care
for us all to benefit from. His wife Lucille for whom I pray every night has much to be proud of.
