Thanks for your thoughts everyone. I didn't call the FD because they were here once already in Jan and just didn't feel comfortable with doing it. When my husband got home his son and gradson came back with him. I was able to kneel and lay my arms across the bed as far as possible. Each took an arm and 1 raised my legs and they dragged me across the bed. I turned over and then sat up. I found out that "butt walking" is quite difficult at this age! Now I get to let the aching muscle recoop; Aleve helps that a lot. Will be working on getting more info for the platform lift today.
