Hello my Frriends,

Have you ever heard of the "Syndrome of Osgood-Shlatter?
It happens usually to the young people (12-14). It is a degeneration of the tibial apophysis and ends at 18 years ca.
The cause is the tension of the tendon of the quadriceps.
I am not young, at the contrary "a little" aged.
In the last sessions of phisiotherapy I noticed a pain every time stronger where is the tibial apophysis. As Meg said not much time ago, when one is sick because of a Myositis (in my case IBM), each new problem in the bony-muscular system (sorry, I invented this word, often I don't find medical terms in our old dictionaries) is referred to this disease.
That is only a suspicion and I think it is useless go to a clinic the have a "magnetic resonance" (also word invented) in the knee. I already live between the power chair and the bed. If the diagnosis is correct and I have a surgery what could change in my life?
On thing is sure, confirmed also in my last Day Hospital, my chain of the tendons from the hip to the foot is getting short. I make for that suitable exercices to avoid aa break.
Overlooking the pain in the knee this day is up for me. The bad weather with snow and wind is on the back, the sun is shining, even if I don't see it until the end of this month, The sparrows are on the window-sill pecking the crumbles of bread and biscuits we prepared and I hear their cip cip, dreaming to be in my native (and unfortunately far) woods.

In spite of all life is well. Be happy
