My husband was diagnosed with IBM 2 years ago. This is a terrible disease for anyone and their families.
I try to let him do as much as he can,but I am always worried he will fall and really hurt himself badly. Three months ago he fell and broke his shoulder. He has not drove since then, and he is stuck in the house until the weekends, when I do not work. I guess I am in need of other people who are dealing with a family member with this disease and how are they doing it? How do you make a man understand that there are certain things that he cannot do anymore? Like button his shirt, open a bottle of water,or just go for a walk? Thanks for listening. |
