Theresa, I hate asking for help too. My husband has a hard time with this. he says he is not sure when to help and when to let me do things. he says he tries to sit back and watch the body language. we try to be understanding for each other. he knows that i have always been very independent. i am slowly learning to ask for help but i can tell you it is very hard to especially on the little things like buttoning a shirt or getting out of the tub by myself. you both will learn but it is a slow process. its hard on everyone. i have even gotten snippy with him and he was just helping and i neeed the help just my pride in the way. im trying to explain it from both ends because one thing my husband and i do is talk openly about this disease and our feelings. yes he is a true sweetheart his b-day is feb 14th. haha.
