I told our little grandson who is five that Grandpa's legs weren't working anymore and so he would have a power chair. And he answered: will he have the little 'stick' to drive it? Already he knows someone in a chair.
My husband is looking forward to the chair as he is so tired all the time. Today, even, he walked to the barn and got on the riding lawnmower and drove it up to the house (just in case, he said). But it was a great effort.
Tomorrow we will be told by the mobility company if the chair he wants is available to us. I will report.
