The disability board looks at it differently with ages too. I put in for it at 45 yrs old. I did the application over the phone. They had a friend fill out a complete packet that was in-depth. I had to see their doctor. They got all my medical records. When I was turned down stating I could probably do something else in a different area with my education and skills they also informed me if I retained an attorney I would get disability. I hired one. The entire process took 18 mos. I was given back pay and automatically put on Medicare A & B. The attorneys take a percentage if you get approved. I did not see your age it seems like the older you are the easier it is to get approved the first time. Like I said I loved my job, I loved working but fatigue was awful at that time there was no alternative. You need to ask questions of social security disability and print information off about the disease from different sites so they have that. Dont down play your symptoms.
