Leo makes some very good points and he knows of what he speaks. My husband would not be able to operate a lift by himself now. We recommend the Easy Pivot transfer lift. It requires very little actual effort by the caregiver. (I recall that Ken's wife just got out of the hospital so she may not be able to do this until her strength returns.) We have been using this for several years now - to move Jim from bed (sitting position) to a rolling bathroom chair (duralife) to his power or lift chair and back to bed at night. We depend on the Easy Pivot and highly recommend it.
