I am able to bear my weight when I stand. I do need to use my walker when I transfer from bed to commode to power chair or lift chair. I'm shopping for a patient lift . I was ready to order the Easy Pivot (Randscot.com) until I went to Spinlife.com and saw the Hoyer Advance patient Lift
and Invocare's "Get-U-Up" stand up lift. I was able to get a medically necessary letter from my doc and my insurance will help pay 75% of the cost. I'm just not sure which lift will be best for me.I like Easy Pivot because it was recommended by Pat (IBM'er) and they offer a two week trial basis. I like the Hoyer Advance lift for its ability to be transported which would make travelling easier. I like Invocare's "Get-U-Up" just because it looks real easy to operate.
I don't want a ceiling lift and believe one of the above lifts will meet my needs. I'm just confused because there are so many lift choices and I can't decide which would be best for me. Just like buying the mobility van (which I love), I just want to make the right decision.
I'm not sure if I'm asking for any advice or if I just wanted to share my buying dilemma AGAIN. Thanks for listening.
