I don't remember having problems in the early years of the disease. It did progress very slowly until it really was a major problem. Swallowing tests showed that I was having a very hard time getting food down.
In January I had my esophagus stretched and it was a big improvement. I still need to be careful when eating, but I don't have the the problem that it was before. And, the procedure wasn't bad. Its quite possible that I will need the procedure done again in the future. Good luck, Janet R |
