I know that my father had similar symptoms like me, but he was never diagnosed with IBM. in that times, the 60ties, I think the 'inclusion body myositis' was not yet known. I have a 'cousin' who did some family reseaching, and found a family, with similar symptoms, but NOT IBM diagnosis. and going back some generations, he found that an old churchman (priest) slumped down while preaching in the pulpit. This was written in old churchbooks. All these peoples are relatives to me, and had similar muscles problems. If they are IBM, we can not know, since all are dead now.
