With Blondina, I also count like Lori posted on her reply. We also give her a special treat of her choosing at a fast food restaurant when she is done so she has something to look forward to. We have a son who does not have JDM but was terrified of needles for a time. Rather than hold him down which terrified him more, they were able to "mummify" him in a blanket. He was wrapped tightly except for the arm needed. This calmed him down almost instantly like a baby being swaddled. He actually asked for it the next time he needed bloodwork and he was about the same age your daughter is when this happpened. He is 14 now and we no longer need to do that. It is so hard on the little ones and the moms who need to go through it with them. My heart goes out to you.
