Hi Janet, sounds like you received a ton of great advice and stories. Sienna was diagnosed in October and its been a tough battle too. She also is an identical twin. Which I have found difficult in itself. She has someone to compare to, so it seems to make the differences even more pronounced.
Our Doctor was quite aggressive from the beginning putting her on Steroids and methotrexate from day 1. She is doing so much better and I feel it was due to the aggressive treatment. It is still tough but we try and involve her twin in everything she does (we ask her first of course) It seems to have made it easier and the support is a blessing. It makes it better for her and she doesnt compare herself as much to her sister.
Its hard with all the medicines. But with each new improvement we try and explain that its due to all the yucky stuff she has to take.
We also involve her sister in her daily physio at home. They both know the more we do the more chance she has of recovering quickly!
