The nurses do have these instant hot packs, but they were never hot enough or big enough, so through trial and error, we discovered that bringing our own HEATING PAD to wrap lightly around her arm or hand with the IV helped!

Gracie had something like "hot flashes" during and afterwards -- her face not only became flushed, but she said she felt extremely hot (like a middle aged woman). I used cold cloths to wash down her legs, feet, and put one at the back of her neck.

(We were in the hospital at the time).
