Dear All,
My name is Julie and Isabella turned three in Jan and this past week was diagnosed with JDM. I am still in a state of shock. She spent the last 2 1/2 weeks getting too many tests and procedures and a port. IV Solumedrol and Methotrexate started last Friday. I am really having trouble with the not knowing how sick she is going to get. Right now, weakness and rash are present. After reading the posts and the book, I find myself wanting to fast forward to remission. I read with sadness the post from Mr. Kilpatrick. He is such an inspiration. I am praying for him and for all of you. I thank you for posting to this site. You help so many, without that, many, including myself would be lost. Julie
