My daughter is being treated aggressively as well. She receives weekly pulse Solumedrol and Methotrexate with daily prednisone and all the other vitamins and Prevacid. Our Rheumatologist is very aggressive with the belief that the faster you put out the fire of the autoimmune response, the less brightly it burns and the shorter. She has treated Dermatomyositis for her whole career and does not do anything else except JDM. She was just diagnosed though last week, so real life experience, I do not have. Julie
