As Harriet said, we started Cure JM with nothing but a dream and detemination in 2003. Without Jim Kilpatrick, Cure JM would not be where it is now. Jim allowed Cure JM to share his message board, and has kept this message board running, even with his overwhelming battles with IBM and other complications he has endured. Most of us would have chosen to stay in bed; but Jim is a fighter, and has never given up.It's that "never give up attitude" that Cure JM will continue to follow...we know we will find a cure for our children and grandchildren, our neices and nephews. And, we will always have Jim to thank for his guidance, his leadership and his never-ending support.
Cure JM will continue to help families affected by JM connect with others in the JM community. Just click on Message Board from the home page at www.curejm.org
You will go through a fast registration process for the message board, and then you are ready to go!
One last thing to tell you about an amazing man. Jim has been a wonderful personal friend throughout the years. He has exchanged emails and cards with my son, Parker, making Parker feel on top of the world. Coincidentally, Jim and Parker share the same birthday, which has always been the coolest thing to Parker. Parker says to "keep up the fight" and thanks for being his friend.
Warmly,
Shari Hume
