Vee,Dr. Aziz Shaibani is my personal friend; Nerve & Muscle Center of Texas in Tower Building on Fannin St. He's a professor at the Baylor School of Medicine in Houston.
Three times a year he arranged for the Neurologists who study Myositis for me to address. I met many Neurologists at our dinners in Houston.
I was in that June 6 2002 flood that flooded all the entire medical center area of Houston. I was in the Marriott-Medical Center Hotel on 10th floor. Water was several feet deep in the lobby. Stuck in there an entire weekend w/o elec, phone, drinking water, a/c...pure hell.
Dr. Shaibani hired a caterer in the unflooded area of Houston to bring me food in a flat bottom boat. then climbed 10 flights of shairs to bring it to me. He and I have been close friends for about 10 years. He wrote the foreword to "Coping with a Myositis Disease" book.
