Kathy, Have you looked into Rush? They are supposed to have the best neuro muscular docs in Chicago. Northwestern has a great Dept of Rheumatology but I don't think their neurology department is as strong as Rush. I have heard they are working to strengthen that practice but they are not there yet. Bill Mixed connective tissue disease (lupus, polymyositis), Raynauds phenomenon. Meds: prednisone 5mg, imuran 50mg, maxide 37.5/25mg, Lotrel 40/5mg,aciphex 20mg, folic acid, potassium, multi vitamins. Maintain your optimism and you can overcome the odds.
