Mother in ICU @ U of M...Need Answers!!! :-(

My mother has been battling PM for about 2 years now. She is deterioating fast! They have tried prednizone and she cant use this due to the fact that she takes insuline for her diabetes. And on top of it all she has cought meningitis (unknown how she cought this). She is in ICU and is getting weaker by the mininute. Her breathing is being affected as to now she is on a breathing machine. Her heart rate is starting to drop when the Dr.'s attempt to remove her from the breathing machine. We are terrified!! Please if you have any suggestions we are all ears....
