So sorry about your mothers problems. I also had a resistant case of PM and prednisone did not work. My doctors gave me IVIG for 5 days straight and it saved my life. I had many complications but did not have diabetes or meningitis so there might be reasons why some treatments cannot be given to her. Bill Mixed connective tissue disease (lupus, scleroderma, polymyositis), Raynauds. Meds: prednisone 2.5mg, imuran 25mg, maxide 37.5/25mg, Lotrel 40/5mg,aciphex 20mg, folic acid, potassium, multi vitamins.
