How high is her cpk (do they say)? I was in the hospital in Saginaw with high numbers in the blood work and many organs shutting down. They finally ended up giving me pred IV 1000mg 2 a day for 5 days to get things under control along with the other meds that I was taking. I ended up with a feeding tube and trachea and in a drug induced coma for 4 1/2 weeks and they finally got things under control.
You are at a good hospital where they seem to know what is going on and they run all the tests, I have been to U of M and some of my tests were sent there.
How old is your mother and tell us more about her. I know it is scary for the family when they do not seem to get quick results but I think you are in the best place in Mi.Hope things turn around soon.
