"That's great news!" That has been the response I have been getting from friends and family when I tell them my biopsy results came back and it is PM. In other words the alternative was apparently a congenital myopathy like Muscular Dystrophy which I certainly was happy to rule out. I know that everyone means well, but because they don't know anything about PM they don't understand that this is a serious disease that has really hit me hard AND that I could very well have a very long journey ahead of me. In addition, I just started the prednisone three days ago and I get someone asking me everyday if I'm feeling better now. I don't mean to sound ungrateful for people's concern but it is driving me crazy! Moira
