This disease is quite the challenge. Got my blood results and the cpk went up 14 points, around 235 now. I would feel much better if it were low like yours. My rheumy is still keeping me at 20mgs weekly of MTX, and for a while was the edict (whatever that means). I took yesterday off to be w/my daughter and new grandaughter. My daughter lives in a row home and I was up and down her stairs a couple of times. When I left there my legs felt like they were going to fold. When I got home and tried to do the 2 steps from the garage into the house, I almost didn't make it. I couldn't get over how weak my legs felt. Then the achy back, shoulders and arms from holding the baby, all 7lbs of her! Go figure. I'm better today but the legs seem to be dragging some. I just wish the cpk levels and how we felt were more in sinc. I think the way you are feeling Phil has a lot to do with the prednisone too. It takes time for the body to adjust when weaning off, but you will feel better. Mentally you will feel better too when the weight starts coming off. It took 6 months after I stopped prednisone completely for the weight to drop. Then I gained around 15lbs when the MTX was increased to 25mgs. Don't know if it was the drug or the fact I could swallow better. I prefer to blame it on the drug! Patience, patience, patience.
