I am afraid Ed might be right. If you can't get your current doctor to listen to you and consult another doctor who has seen more myositis patients, you are going to have to find a new doctor. I know it is extremely frustrating to do so, but we are talking about your health and mysositis is a serious disease and has to be dealt with. I saw one neurologist, five dermatologists and five rheumatologists until I settled on the one rheumatologist and one dermatologist I now see regularly.
